Real Home Business: Is There Such A Thing?

Saturday, September 25th, 2010

If you are one of the countless people who believe that every home business idea you come across is a scam, you should know that there are people out there operating a real home business, and earning a lucrative income. Sure, some scams do exist, but most opportunities are real ways that people are earning a living online.

One real home business is affiliate marketing, yet many people assume that this is a scam. Yes, there are numerous people who sell memberships to websites that provide training. There are numerous people who sell products designed to teach you the market. But, the truth is no matter how you learn, affiliate marketing is real and countless people earn a substantial living each day from this business. All you need to do is set up an affiliate account with a major online retailer, for free, and start advertising their products. As people purchase them via your link you earn a commission and you never spent any money to get started.

Sometimes when people fail to succeed at something they automatically call it a scam. But, for the most part, business is business. You can take anything and turn it into a real home business, and you can almost guarantee you won’t be the first. For example, if you enjoy creating scrapbooks, you can create embellishments and sell them online.

You could even offer your services as a professional scrapbooker who designs complete albums for others. If you’ve got a product or service to offer, there’s someone out there who will pay for it, the key is finding them.

There are scams out there, but you have to remember there is such a thing as a real home business too. If you find something you enjoy doing, and put effort into making it a business, you’ll soon find out that it’s not that hard to succeed.

Debbie Vladic , How Long Will It Take My Affiliate Marketing Business To Make Money?

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010

This is probably the most asked question everyone asks their mentor, upline or affiliate partner when they are just starting out. The answer depends on a lot of factors, most of which come down to the person asking the question.

If you follow a proven system or plan and do everything right, the money should start rolling in very quickly. The key here is finding the perfect, duplicative system for you. Remember systems work, people fail. Why do you think that McDonalds is so successful? It?s certainly not because they have the best food! They have a simple, duplicative system that every single franchise owner follows exactly. Once again, systems work, people fail. If you want to be a farmer go to a successful farmer and learn his techniques. And if you want to have a successful affiliate marketing business go to a successful affiliate marketer, plug into their system and watch the profits start to come rolling in.

For beginners just starting out this is the best and most proven

Why doesn’t every electrical & electronic product sold in the US have an Underwriters Laboratory seal on it?

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

Today there are electrical products sold in stores without this label. I purchaced a ceramic heater without a tip-over switch at a reputable store. Upon further examination it also lacks an UL label. It’s too late to take it back since I have thrown away the packaging and sales slip.

We have extension cords, shown on TV, that the plug will break off, exposing wires. We have so many products available in our stores without this label, just look the next time you shop.

Has our country, the US, lowered our standards to allow these products to be sold here? If so why? So WalMart, Best Buy, Home Depot, K-Mart and every discount store can make a profit?

Can’t foreign countries make a product to, what used to be our standards? There was a day, in this country when you could not purchase an electrical product without this label.

How do you calculate Return on Equity?

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

im doing it on UPS, and i found on yahoo finance that it’s 2.76%, but when i calculate it i end up with this:

Return on Equity: total assets – liabilities = shareholders equity
Shareholders equity average beginning ending year divided by 2(15482000 + 12183000 = 27665000)

Net profit divided by shareholders average equity

(382,000,000 / 27665000) = 13.8%

roe=13.8%

am i plugging in wrong numbers?

How do you find marginal profit (calculus)?

Monday, May 10th, 2010

Please only answer if you know what you’re doing. This is not as simple as plugging in 5 for x and the answer is not 85 or 8500.

Suppose that the total profit in hundreds of dollars from selling x items is given by P(x) =4x^2 – 5x + 10. Find the marginal profit at x = 5.

Why are not Plug-in Electric and Hybrid not a part of the Power Grid?

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

Seems to me that if cars were factored in as part of the grid, they could store energy when it is cheap and sell it back when it is high.
A multi-fuel motor might even be able to to produce electricity at a profit to the car owner when a fuel is cheap.
All that would really be needed is a two-way meter with a cost-activated control.
So, You’re saying that it is do-able, but prohibitively expensive.
But won’t those lines need to be upgraded anyway as usage increases?
And doesn’t that create jobs?
And couldn’t those same cars be used to power the house buying cheaper electris at off peak and mininizing the need for new power lines?

Which revenue should I use for these formulas?

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

I have to plug in data from a hospital income statement, but in solving the formulas, do not know which values to use.

I have Patient Revenues, Deductions from revenue, Net Patient Revenue, Other Operating Revenues, and Total Revenues to chose from.

In figuring out the Net Profit Margin (NPR=Net Income/Revenue), which revenue value should I ues?

Same for Asset Turnover (AT=Revenue/Assets)?

Same for Gross Profit (GP=Revenue-COG) and Gross Profit Margin (GPM=Gross Profit/Total Revenue?

Somebody please help! I’m so confused!

Is there a piece of hardware that stores all of your user names and passwords, like the ilok for pro audio?

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

I get so perturbed when I can’t remember my user names and passwords. I wish there was a little usb stick that just stored everything and I could take it from computer to computer. There is one that authorized all plug-ins for a pro audio piece of software. Why isn’t there one for everyday use? Until facial recognition gets slightly better, will someone please invent this (and give me a cut of the profits? haha)
