So, where do you start if you are to grow an MLM business? Your first task is to know your product inside and out. Know it’s benefits, how it works, why it’s unique! Know your companies’ compensation plan. You MUST be able to answer your prospect’s questions completely and accurately. Once you establish your expertise, they are many more times likely to purchase from you, and pay just about any price that you may ask!

The next MLM strategy is to identify your target audience. Who are they? What is their pain? What do you have to offer them to cure their pain or fulfill a need that they have? Look at yourself…you are most likely an example of your target audience. If you are marketing a product that you use (which you SHOULD be), you are part of your target audience. Consider gender, age group, the need that your product satisfies. For example, don’t try to market anti-aging skin care products to 20 year old males…you certainly won’t get results that way!

The next step to grow your MLM business is to get people to come to you first! Think about yourself for a minute. If you want or need something, do you wait for someone to call you, or knock on your door with it? Of course not. You either go to the store that has what you want, or search on the internet for information. So, in order to build your network marketing business, you must create a message that attracts your audience, and learn how to position yourself as an expert (Have I mentioned that before? That’s because it is HUGE!). Positioning is the skill and practice of identifying your target audience and placing yourself (your marketing message about your product) in front of your target audience. So, how do you do this? One of the ways to do that, if you are using the Internet, is pay-per-click advertising. This is an excellent way to get yourself exposed to the most people.

Pay per click advertising (also known as PPC) is a model used on search engines, like Google or Yahoo, where you, the marketer,only pays when someone actually clicks on your ad to visit your website.

You bid on keywords – words or phrases people type into search engines when looking for information.

Learn what keywords your target audience is using when they search for what they need, want or desire.There are numerous tools available to help you find the keywords that match what your audience is typing in the search bar.

One of the key MLM strategies is to listen to the conversation in your prospects head…what is their pain? What are they looking for? Where are they looking? Your job is to get inside that conversation, understand what it is they are truly looking for, and provide the answers to their questions. As a marketer, using the right keywords is critical to your success.

Once you have built your keyword lists..and there will be many, each reaching out to different groups of prospects looking for specific aspects of what your product has to offer..you will write the appropriate ads to go with these groups of keywords (known as adgroups). Then, when someone types in a keyword search matching one of the keywords on your list, your ad may be shown.The quality or relevance of the ad in relation to the search, and/or how much you bid on your keywords will determine where your ad appears. Ideally, it will be “above the fold”, or on the first page of the search results.

Writing good ads and choosing keywords that your target audience is using is an ongoing process of testing…trial and error. There are several tools out there to help you refine your skills…some free, and of course there are many companies that offer software or services that you can subscribe to or purchase for help in developing keyword strategies. The choice is up to you, whether you choose to tackle learning this skill set on your own or seek guidance,it is a skill that will positively impact your MLM business. How great would it be to be able to attract people into your MLM business, that wanted to succeed just as bad as you do. Well, according to the quote, “opposites attract”, something on one end of the magnetic pole attracts the opposite end.

Well this doesn’t apply to attracting the right people into your business. If you sponsored people who were opposite of you, you’ll be adding a bunch of lazy people who doesn’t want to grow a MLM business. Sponsoring more people into your MLM business shouldn’t be a pain, right? You shouldn’t have to twist someone’s arm, or call them over and over. Doing that will ruin relationships and make you look desperate. Which is why the first MLM sponsoring tip is leadership.

When demonstrating leadership the right way, people will follow you where ever you’ll take them. Which is why when you twist someone’s arm or pester them into joining your MLM business, you’re losing the battle of demonstrating leadership.

It’s extremely important that you’re confident and willing to lead. This creates a magnetic attraction. You’ll attract and sponsor more people as a leader, not as a begger.

MLM Sponsoring Tips #2

A commonly misguided myth for growing a business is to bring people into your MLM business based on the opportunity. It’s much better if you find people who really love your products or service. When you’re able to sponsor people based on your products, you’ll find yourself attracting dozens of people.

And what happens then is you’re able to retain your downline. Many times, we add a bunch of people into out downline. Later, we see that they’re not consuming the products and they say that they’re really not wanting to grow the business.

That’s what happens when you add people based solely on the opportunity. After a month of them not making any money, they’re gone. So, be sure you find people who really wants the product. When you do, you’ll have people attracted to you and your team.

MLM Sponsoring Tips #3

Another great sponsoring tip is to sort, not sell. What I mean is instead of trying to sell everyone your products, or trying to sell them on the opportunity, just sort through and find people who wants to buy your products and join you in your MLM business.

If they don’t want to consume the products or if they’re asking how much you’re making, just let them go. Don’t try selling them.

When you’re able to sort, you’ll notice that people you’re adding to your MLM business are just like you. You’ll be different in some ways, but overall, you’re all striding for basically the same goals. This will allow you to attract and sponsor dozens of people into your business who are just like you.

Use these MLM sponsoring tips to attract and grow your business. And by doing so, you’ll not only grow your business, but attract help you attract the right people.
