You get up every morning From your alarm clock’s warning Take the 8:15 into the city There’s a whistle up above And people pushin’, people shovin’ And the girls who try to look pretty And if your train’s on time You can get to work by nine And start your slaving job to get your pay If you ever get annoyed Look at me I’m self-employed I love to work at nothing all day And I’ll be… Taking care of business every day Taking care of business every way I’ve been taking care of business, it’s all mine Taking care of business and working overtime Work out If it were easy as fishin’ You could be a musician If you could make sounds loud or mellow Get a second-hand guitar Chances are you’ll go far If you get in with the right bunch of fellows People see you having fun Just a-lying in the sun Tell them that you like it this way It’s the work that we avoid And we’re all self-employed We love to work at nothing all day And we be… Taking care of business every day Taking care of business every way I’ve been taking care of business, it’s all mine Taking care of business and working overtime Take good care of my business When I’m away, every day whoo! Four Ideas That Will Make Your Business Cards Stick Out!

Wednesday, December 29th, 2010

When we get out there and interact with others, first thing we would do is always to present these people our business cards. Swapping business cards is a superb way to sell your self or perhaps your business. But it’s sad since I see so many people put such minimal thought on their cards. It can be a way to leave a good long-lasting impression if you’ve got a creative and remarkable business card.

So now here I will reveal 5 tips which will make your business cards stand out amongst others:

1. Make use of both sides of your business cards

I do not really understand why majority of the business cards I’ve received don’t fully utilize both sides. Of course it may cost a little bit more if you print both sides but it will certainly help when you include more details about your business in this area. You could leave a little space folks to write notes though.

2. Convey a face photo of your self

It’s really a no brainer, we all get a lot of business cards every day, take it from somebody that network a lot. It’s very quick to forget the faces of whom you met. Including a photograph will allow people to recognize you instantly.

3. State what you do

It amazes me each time I receive a business card where there is no mention about just what the organization does as well as what you do in the organization (position). I mean if you’re working for big well-known corporation, in that case I can probably understand that you don’t have to state what the company does, but if you own your own business then it will always be smart to include a quick introduction about what your enterprise is about.

4. Use an unusual size or shape business card

The typical size for the business cards in America is 3.5 inches x 2 inches. One of the simplest ways to get your card stand out amongst others is to use a larger or smaller size than the average business cards.

Sound Card recording quality VS External Recording Device quality?

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

I am recording a music CD for a local not-for-profit Violin Performance group. I have a HP Computer running Windows XP, and have Sony ACID XMC, and other recording software. Can anyone recommend a good Mic (less than $100) that will either plug into my sound card or USB? It needs at least be able to record in CD quality (44.1khz, 16 bit, stereo).
Thanks in advance for your help.
