News: New Social Media Study: Nearly 60 Percent Say LinkedIn is Most Important Social Network Account

Thursday, June 30th, 2011

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) June 07, 2011

Performics, the performance marketing agency owned by Publicis Groupe, today released results from ?S-Net (The Impact of Social Media),? a report from ROI Research Inc. sponsored by Performics. According to the survey of 2,997 active social networkers, 59 percent of respondents said it is important to have a LinkedIn account, more than any other social network.

Furthermore, of the study respondents with an active LinkedIn account, 50 percent visit the site at least weekly and 20 percent visit the site at least daily. While this new social media study shows the frequency of LinkedIn visits decreasing since the height of the recession in 2010 (67 percent weekly and 22 percent daily visits), the percentage of people who deem LinkedIn the most important social networking site jumped dramatically from 41 percent last year to 59 percent this year.

?We may not necessarily be in a double-dip recession but, individuals have embraced social networking as a means to actively manage their personal visibility in the global economy.? said Daina Middleton, CEO of Performics. ?Factors including LinkedIn?s recent IPO announcement, the May uptick in national unemployment and signs of a slowed market certainly contribute to LinkedIn?s attractiveness among social networkers.?

The study also reveals how technology combined with social networks have changed the way people behave, how companies and brands can capitalize on new social media marketing opportunities. It specifically inquired about the purchase process for different types of products and in relation to other media channels. Some of the most astounding findings of the study include:

Why Most MLM Distributors Fail – Overcoming Some Common Issues

Monday, May 17th, 2010

We’ve seen data saying as high as 97% of MLM Distributors will fail. In reality, most quit short of their goals, and could have continued with a few adjustments and some good coaching.

But in life, it is a fact that most individuals will fail in most everything they try. The only real victorious MLM distributors are the ones that just keep going until they finally “arrive.” In inventing the light bulb, Thomas Edison needed to “fail” over 10,000 times. He believed there was no failure, only feedback.

However, there are some things that a new MLM Distributor and his or her sponsor should keep in mind and some things that need to be acomplished to lessen the inevitable failure probability. Here are a few:

Choose the right MLM company in the first place. Countless MLM distributors have been “sold” on the latest and greatest product, company, and or MLM superhero only to be let down by business failure in the company they so carefully selected. Corey Augenstein, creator of MLMInsider.com, and a student of the industry recently remarked that of the universe of hundreds of MLM companies, only about 30 could be even considered for his annual “best companies” review. A good starting point for research is MLMInsider.com’s annual top 10 best companies review.

Get the right teaching and leaders. Training in this industry should not be developed by “experts” who have never been successful themselves. Look to teachers and guides who have an impressive track record and string of accomplishments. But consider also, that not every successful distributor is good at training his recruits. What is the track record of his or her followers? Before selecting your company, check out your new “sponsor’s” background and accomplishments, and those of his own “team.”

Get serious about personal development. The MLM industry can be challenging for some, if not most people. Nearly everyone coming into the industry needs to “adjust their thinking” to get clear about their own belief systems. A highly prevalent paradigm is the “employee mindset,” in which most distributors and their friends/family have been well endoctrinated. How many new distributors’ dreams have been smashed by well-meaning friends and family giving them the advice to: “get a real job,” or “that will never work?”

Get a system. It is crucial to have a systemmatic method for any business. What are some tools used by others to steer toward their accomplishment? Find out and lay hold of the best tools and systems that are available.

Don’t always pay attention to what the MLM company advises (or at least do so with a grain of salt). Recently we heard guidance from a major company to be “well armed” with some recent company news and dressed with the hottest company logo gear during holiday get-togethers with family. Although this may be good in some cases, we have encountered too many times when this manner of “in your face” approach has back-fired. Just be certain you are tactful in sharing only information that is their interest. Or as sales trainer Tim Sales suggests, be more interested in your “prospect,” than in sharing interesting news about your company. We suggest a low-key, low-profile approach, as taught by sales pro, Tom Hopkins. This is usually true with friends and family, who often don’t want to be your “prospects” again during holiday and family times.

Sticking with it is vital for success in MLM (or any venture for that matter), But in order to increase your probability of success, follow these few suggestions and your chances will improve dramatically.

A Review of the Most Popular MLM Message Boards

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

There are a great number of well established MLM Message Boards out there right now. There are also some great new start up boards that are coming together nicely. Most of these provide relevant, sharp information, while others don’t provide much but fluff. We have taken the work out of it for you and are featuring some of the best of the best here for you to have a look at.

First there is mlmforums, this slick online message board is well run, organized and has a ton of features. It is moderated very well and the creators of this MLM Message Board do not put up with any nonsense. They do allow advertising but only in specific areas. They absolutely do not allow spamming, even going so far as to ban those that violate the no spam policy. Each section is organized by product or service and has specific guidelines for posting. Overall this Message Board is well run and very informative. I would recommend this for well established business owners as well as beginners.

Next we took a look around NetMarketingForum; this MLM Message Board also brings really good organization by topic to the table. It has a section called “The Gauntlet”, this is a great feature in which you can ask other members to critique your website, beware your peers will be brutally honest. It is an excellent tool for those of you that want to improve your website and cash flow. We like this message board.

One of the newer MLM Message Boards is onlinemlm; this forum can be found on a tab on the left hand side of the home page. It is a smaller message board that still manages to get plenty of information to the subscriber. There is also an advertising section that allows promotion of your site to other members; they also do not allow spam. This board also features a “members only” section that promises to deliver the inside scoop on internet marketing. I also like the valuable information featured in the Frauds and Scams section. This is also a well organized MLM Message Board with plenty of room to grow. We will be watching this one, it should take off very soon.

One more MLM Message Board we like is MLMHelp. This site is run by Dale Calvert; it has an informative, chatty quality to it that is very engaging to the reader. It provides good information and is fun to read.

There are many websites that are now featuring message boards, this provides an excellent way for subscribers to exchange information with others in the internet marketing field.
These boards also provide an excellent resource for those that are just starting out, the beginner can get all kinds of information on products and services, but more importantly, can get an insider view from those that have already done it.

Learning from others mistakes and getting service from the pros our there is an invaluable tool to the newcomer. Whether you are brand new or a seasoned professional, all of these MLM Message Boards provide something for everyone. Check these out, they each offer something unique.

Home based business- Is there REALLY one that works? Or, are 99.999 % scams as most I have investigated?

Sunday, April 18th, 2010

Most recently, GDI is the one that comes to mind. It’s MLM/pyramid scheme like. So, I’m looking for REAL sources. Not the “make $1000 a week working 10 minutes a day”.

MLM Recruiting – the Three Most Important Aspects of MLM Success in the 21st Century

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

MLM recruiting is a learned art. Those having MLM recruiting success vary from those who don’t by knowing and using information on three things. If you are looking for success, study, learn and practice the three most important aspects of MLM success in the 21st century.

1. Branding yourself with confidence and posture using blogs, e-books and newsletters. It’s seriously important for people to know that you are an expert with confidence and posture in your field, no matter what you market. Prospects are more inclined to be more interested in a true leader. They like the sensation of reassurance when they are speaking to an expert.

Branding yourself with blogs is great because search engines love them and can be done by posting quality information to build traffic. Writing e-books is another way to show your expertise and posture. If you haven’t a clue how to write an e-book, you can find PLR e-books to jumpstart your branding. Writing informative newsletters is yet another way to prove your expertise in an area, get traffic and have MLM success.

2. Creating your own autopilot lead generation system on the Internet using SEO and PPC Lead generation is of the utmost importance for MLM success in the 21st century. Creating your own autopilot lead generation system with SEO and PPC is also another branding tool and creates a stream of revenue.

SEO: Search engine optimization is important in MLM for your traffic. Statistics say that SEO represents 70% of traffic, therefore makes a huge difference to your success. Search engines choose how high to position your site based on your SEO approach. The higher your site, the more traffic you get. The core of achieving good page rank is providing your traffic and the search engines with helpful information on your site that is full of keywords. For SEO, content is king.

PPC: PPC, when done correctly, can make or break your MLM business. PPC delivers targeted traffic to your site and unlike SEO; you don’t have to wait for PR results. Your advertisements are shown on web pages according to the amount you have bid for every click and this drives your traffic.

PPC has a lot of benefits including revenue directly from your product and making your website more well-known. People remember a familiar page. When they click on relative ads and your site keeps coming up, it becomes familiar, and that makes them want to know more about you, your site and your product.

3. Turning your leads into cash flow and paying for your advertising costs. You may be having a hard time paying your advertising costs. This is where a ‘funded proposal’ comes in. Your targeted leads visit your site and you offer them a product or service that they can’t live without. (This is where having your own e-book could come in handy). You have just created revenue from your leads and can help pay your advertising costs for your MLM. As well, there is a way to get free leads from Google and generate revenue from visitors who might not buy your product but you can still get money from their clicks.

By learning the three most important aspects of MLM success in the 21st century and implementing the information, you will be able to realize new MLM recruiting success.
