MLM Success Tips

You can ABSOLUTELY be successful in the MLM business if you develop the right skills. Key to your success in MLM is your ability to position yourself in front of your target audience.

Stop abusing your warm market, and wasting your time on a cold market. Learn how to communicate with people and satisfy THEIR needs, wants and desires. Learning the right MLM strategies, and how to use them, will change the dynamics of how you do business, and your results will soar.

So, where do you start if you are to grow an MLM business? Your first task is to know your product inside and out. Know it’s benefits, how it works, why it’s unique! Know your companies’ compensation plan. You MUST be able to answer your prospect’s questions completely and accurately. Once you establish your expertise, they are many more times likely to purchase from you, and pay just about any price that you may ask!

The next MLM strategy is to identify your target audience. Who are they? What is their pain? What do you have to offer them to cure their pain or fulfill a need that they have? Look at yourself…you are most likely an example of your target audience. If you are marketing a product that you use (which you SHOULD be), you are part of your target audience. Consider gender, age group, the need that your product satisfies. For example, don’t try to market anti-aging skin care products to 20 year old males…you certainly won’t get results that way!

The next step to grow your MLM business is to get people to come to you first! Think about yourself for a minute. If you want or need something, do you wait for someone to call you, or knock on your door with it? Of course not. You either go to the store that has what you want, or search on the internet for information. So, in order to build your network marketing business, you must create a message that attracts your audience, and learn how to position yourself as an expert (Have I mentioned that before? That’s because it is HUGE!). Positioning is the skill and practice of identifying your target audience and placing yourself (your marketing message about your product) in front of your target audience. So, how do you do this? One of the ways to do that, if you are using the Internet, is pay-per-click advertising. This is an excellent way to get yourself exposed to the most people.

Pay per click advertising (also known as PPC) is a model used on search engines, like Google or Yahoo, where you, the marketer,only pays when someone actually clicks on your ad to visit your website.

You bid on keywords – words or phrases people type into search engines when looking for information.

Learn what keywords your target audience is using when they search for what they need, want or desire.There are numerous tools available to help you find the keywords that match what your audience is typing in the search bar.

One of the key MLM strategies is to listen to the conversation in your prospects head…what is their pain? What are they looking for? Where are they looking? Your job is to get inside that conversation, understand what it is they are truly looking for, and provide the answers to their questions. As a marketer, using the right keywords is critical to your success.

Once you have built your keyword lists..and there will be many, each reaching out to different groups of prospects looking for specific aspects of what your product has to offer..you will write the appropriate ads to go with these groups of keywords (known as adgroups). Then, when someone types in a keyword search matching one of the keywords on your list, your ad may be shown.The quality or relevance of the ad in relation to the search, and/or how much you bid on your keywords will determine where your ad appears. Ideally, it will be “above the fold”, or on the first page of the search results.

Writing good ads and choosing keywords that your target audience is using is an ongoing process of testing…trial and error. There are several tools out there to help you refine your skills…some free, and of course there are many companies that offer software or services that you can subscribe to or purchase for help in developing keyword strategies. The choice is up to you, whether you choose to tackle learning this skill set on your own or seek guidance,it is a skill that will positively impact your MLM business. Learn how to get prospects coming to you…already wanting what you have to offer, by positioning yourself in their path when they search for whatever it is they need, want, or desire.

I recall living at home with my parents (both whom have gone to be with the Lord) , they always had a garden. Personally I always looked at gardens as a big waste of time. I could go get a bag of peas from the grocer that would have taken me a couple hours to pick and shell not to mention all the time it takes to cultivate, fertilize, water and pull weeds. Gardens just felt like work and I could always think of more productive ways to spend my time.

The same happened in my Network Marketing / MLM Home Based Business with Leads. I started with persons I knew and then after about a year I turned to leads to build my MLM. I have paid out close to 200,000.00 in advertising in the past decade and 6 months ago if I had stopped buying leads I would have found my personal recruiting come to an immediate stop. The idea of creating my own leads brought me back to my garden days with my Dad – No thanks! Toooooo Much Work!!!!!

Problem with Purchased Leads:

* Leads often cost 3.00 or more – so they are expensive if your conversion is poor.
* 95% of all the leads you buy are either broke; don’t believe in themselves enough to start an MLM business; are looking for a job; let fear stop them from taking on challenge
* Have no relationship of trust with you so their guard is up.
* Can be very discouraging – calling lead after lead that is rude plus getting the phone slammed in your ear all day can be very taxing.

When you take the time to generate your own free leads you are establishing a relationship with your prospects and they are being drawn to you. You don’t beat up your wallet because the leads you generate were essentially free from article submission and from your video posting. Once your content is on the net it is there forever. You do the effort one time and continue to benefit from it week after week month after month. Growing your own leads has a cumulative effect since each piece of content you post gives you just that much better credibility with Google and you continue to see your positioning improve with time.

This is not an activity for the people out to get a fast buck and leave. The thing I love the most about this approach is that people see your content for extended period of time you gain their trust. Rather than you needing to spend every waking hour calling people who don’t want to talk to you, you focus your time on returning calls from people wanting to speak with you. Spending your time with people that actually want to have a conversation with you about your marketing system and or business can leave you with a very great sense of fulfilment.

If you have been in a Network Marketing / MLM Home Based Business for very long you know there are no short cuts and so being able to grow your own leads gives you a higher class of people to talk to and ultimately will help you grow your business more quickly though in the begining it may not feel like it. For the people who want a quick MLM success story the idea of writing several hundred articles and researching topics on the net is far too labor intensive. When you are looking at growing a significant MLM business make a 5 year plan not a 5 week one. Commit to learning what needs to be learned and doing what needs to be done and not quit no matter what.

This is probably one of the biggest controversial industries online and that’s the mlm business.

I have talked to hundreds of people and have seen a pattern in the way people do mlm marketing, get mlm leads, do mlm training, get into mlm companies, mlm home based businesses, mlm opportunities, use mlm software online, get caught up in mlm compensation plans, how people recruit prospects in their mlm downline and the list goes on!

Multi-level marketing (MLM), also known as Network Marketing, is a business-distribution model that allows a parent company to market its products directly to consumers by means of relationship referrals and direct selling.

Independent, unsalaried salespeople of multi-level marketing, referred to as distributors (or associates, independent business owners, dealers, franchise owners, sales consultants, consultants, independent agents, etc.), represent the parent company and are awarded a commission based upon the volume of product sold through each of their independent businesses (organizations).

MLM PROS Possible Reasons that MLM Could Be a Great Business For You!

1. Usually start-up costs are low.
2. Many of the highest-quality products are manufactured by MLM companies.
3. You can work it part time if you choose, which allows you to work a job fulltime and work your MLM business in your spare time.
4. You can work from your home.
5. Your business expenses will be deductible from your income tax.
6. You will be your own boss.
7. You choose which hours you want to work.
8. You may develop a small extra income or possibly even a very large income, allowing you to quit your job, or have a great retirement.
9. Your income will be a residual income, which will come to you month-after-month, year-after-year.
10. You will have time freedom.
11. You will meet many like-minded people.

MLM CONS Possible Reasons that MLM Should NOT Be the Business For You!

1. At first you could work very, very hard without making any money!
2. The ease of start-up can cause people to get into several companies, with the mistaken belief that they can easily develop several income streams. This causes a lack of focus and makes the person far more likely to fail.
3. The products could be overpriced and it may be difficult to determine whether they are any better than you could purchase at a discount store.
4. People may look at what is possible to make with MLM instead of what is likely to happen. There are a lot of very inaccurate get-rich quick claims out there. When success doesnt come quickly, a person may be more likely to quit and join something else.
5. It can be very hard to distinguish a legitimate company or opportunity from a scam.
6. Many people do not seem to realize that it takes time and money to build a solid business.
7. Ideally, MLM is based on everyone doing a little bit. In reality, most people dont do their part, making it necessary for the few workers to work much harder to find any amount of success!
8. The failure rate is extremely high.
9. As in any business, to succeed with MLM takes a lot of dedication.
10. Unlike a job where you may punch a clock or have a certain number of hours to work each day, no one is requiring you to do anything with your MLM business. YOU must be the one to decide to work it, or invest your money into advertising. It takes true self-discipline!
11. Your family and friends may not at all understand what you are trying to accomplish. Hopefully, you will get very helpful support from others, but realize that they may not support you at all, no matter how dedicated you are!
